WHY COME ON THIS RETREAT?

You're not just writing a book. You're stewarding the treasures of heaven. Not because YOU need to write this book, but because the world needs to read it. And if heaven has chosen your 'voice' to be the channel through which to teach this message or tell this story, who are you to doubt your ability to do so? It's not you writing it anyway... it's the Spirit of God writing this book through you.

I'll never lose the wonder, privilege and awe of how God entrusts us with His words, and the responsibility it is not to treat them like they are without worth, but to capture these hidden treasures and bring them to light and life so they can transform people and situations!

I've always known I would write... I just didn't know what. From the time I was a child, I was writing. What I didn't expect was how long it would be until I would actually see my books come to life, the detours, distractions and busyness that would try to steal this dream from my heart, or that when it finally happened, He would tell me to go a route that was different to the  traditional options. I also wasn't expecting the mandate from His heart to mine to 'Publish the Voice of the Bride', and Him calling me to start a publishing arm (Unlocked Publishing) along the way, as a platform to do just that.

When He birthed my first book, Dates With Holy Spirit, through me, I finally understood the delight of co-creating with Him! To bring something forth into the world that had before that only been conceived between His heart and mine, was like holding a new baby! It was full of wonder, excitement and satisfaction. When I sat down to read my own book and it was like I was reading it for the first time, I knew it had been His words, not mine, embedded into it!

When that book went out into the world and I started receiving testimonies of how it was impacting people's lives, bringing healing and encounters and never-before-experienced closeness with Holy Spirit and lifestyle shifts, I felt what every author should have the privilege of feeling - the knowledge that Holy Spirit Himself had not just conceived and written that book with me, but was working through it daily in the lives of others. I could be sleeping, and it had become His tool to impact someone on the other side of the world!

What an astounding privilege we have, as writers, to be His scribes and our books to be His arrows on the earth!

Do you dare to believe it's possible to be His scribe on the earth?

To co-create with Him and let Him write books through you that will become arrows of anointing for Him to work through?

Because it is! I know you've probably doubted yourself and the value of what you carry. I know thoughts may have assailed you to tell you that you can't do it. I know that life has probably been telling you that you don't have time to write, and you never will. I know it all feels and sounds real... but it's all lies.

If God has told you to do something, then the power to do it is in His command. And if you're not sure if He's telling you to do it, shouldn't you find out for sure? 

It's time to believe what you're hearing or sensing, to forget about what you don't think you can do, and trust the God of the universe to write through you. He's given you a voice on this earth, and He wants you to use it!

Perhaps the reason you've either not been sure or not started before, is because you just haven't given yourself the space to hear Him, and begin. Or perhaps the reason your writing has stagnated is because you've not given yourself the space to finish it. Either way, it's time to change that.

When you set aside space to come away with Him and write, you're valuing the treasure from heaven He is trying to give you.

This could be the time that sets your writing on course, and begins the flood of testimonies you will hear throughout eternity!
