Unlock Him!

There is treasure in you. No matter who you are what stage of life you’re in, there is treasure inside of you. It’s contained in your heart.

IT’S THE FULLNESS OF JESUS, THE FULLNESS OF HEAVEN, AND IT’S ALREADY INSIDE OF YOU!

Do you believe that? Do you understand it? Many of us have been walking around since Sunday school, saying that Jesus lives in our hearts. Yet have we really understood the magnitude of that? And have we really believed it's true?

Jesus does indeed live in our hearts. In fact, the Trinity lives in our hearts - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, because they are one and are unable to be separated. The fullness of God lives in Christ, and Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. And they're living inside of each of us who have accepted Jesus, not because of anything we've done, but because of our faith in and our acceptance of Him.

Just think about what this actually means to your life. You don’t have to work for it, you don’t have to earn it. You just have to believe it’s there, open the treasure chest, and let what God has planted inside of you come out!

What a mystery! What an amazing wonder! How awesome to have Christ Himself embedded within us! And this becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope for our lives, for our families, and for our nations. Christ in us is the hope of glory on this earth... but what hope is there if we don't grasp this fully and walk in it? If the hope of the world is contained within the treasure chest of glory which is Christ in our hearts, then until we individually and collectively recognise that treasure chest and open it, the world's hope is diminished. But when we do recognise and release that treasure that is within us, we can walk in a level of authority on this earth that makes every demonic structure shake.

Can we fathom the contents of this treasure chest? Can we get our heads around what this means for our lives? For our families? For our communities? For our world? To be invited into THE VERY LIFE of Christ?!?! And because of this invitation, everything we need for every situation is already contained within us. Without cost. Without qualification. We don’t have to beg for it – He’s paid the price to give it to us. With His own blood, He filled the treasure chest. With His very Life, He paid for its contents to be embedded within us. And He wants us to know it, because to walk around with this extravagant, expensive gift within us and to never know it, is to waste His sacrifice… it’s like letting His blood spill on the ground for nothing. A lid shut tight… never opened to the reveal the treasure within… never able to bless the world around it. After all, that’s why it’s there.

Worse still, keeping the lid on our treasure chest shut actually locks HIM in. Doesn’t He call us His body on this earth? Hasn’t He made us His hands and feet? Didn’t Paul say that it was no longer him who lived, but Christ Who lived in him? Jesus has actually limited Himself to us! Can you imagine the humility of it… the King of the entire universe came down to earth as a servant, to die a sinner’s death… so that He might then live in our hearts. But nowhere along the line has He taken away nor will He take away our free will. He gave authority to mankind in the garden, and while we needed a hand to get back on track, He has never revoked that assignment. It is completely up to us what we do with the knowledge of Christ within us, and whether or not we open the treasure chest He has embedded within us.

THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST – IN FACT, THE FULLNESS OF THE TRINITY – LIVES WITHIN US,

AND IF WE CAN RECEIVE THIS AS REVELATION TO OUR HEARTS, WE WILL FIND THAT IT IS THE UNDERLYING TRUTH WHICH IMPACTS EVERYTHING!

He wants to unlock our hearts so that what's already inside of us can come out, undiminished and unrestricted by fear or the flesh. He wants to release His Life within us so that we can live the wide-open, spacious life He planned for us before the foundation of this world.

He wants to fling wide open the lid to your treasure chest so that you can shine! He wants to set you free from everything that holds this world-changing, powerful Life inside! He wants to show you that you’re enough in Him already, and that you're free to live the destiny that He wrote for you before the foundation of the world. But that destiny can’t be reached with the lid shut tight. And while our Father knows the exact keys which will open the lock of our hearts (and He will show us what they are if we will just ask Him), only we can turn them.

Many things keep the lid of the treasure chests embedded in our hearts shut tight. Fear…limiting beliefs…unworthiness…shame…playing it small and safe…not knowing who He is in us. Not walking in the courage He has given us. Probably all of that can be summarised into one thing: Not knowing that we are one with Him (1 Cor 6:17). Because when we believe that who He is in us is actually who WE are, then we can walk free from fear, lies and shame. We can walk in the faith that our new man is bold, confident and righteous. What a glorious truth! But we have to believe it. And refuse to walk in our old man any more, because we now know that our old man is not really who we are. If we will believe the reality of His Life in us... if we will seek Him... He will show us the keys. And as we turn them, we’ll find our whole life will be unlocked! And the world will see who He really is!

Jesus has designed us to live a wide-open, spacious life. Whether or not we can live that life is a direct result of what's in our hearts. As we think in our hearts, so we are (Prov 23:7). Above all else, we are to guard our hearts with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

We guard our hearts when we agree with what He has said about His Life within us, and refuse to come into agreement with anything else. Let's unlock Him within our hearts today, believe who He says we are because of who He is in us, and start living the adventure that He has designed for us.
